In heat exchangers, even sub-millimeter levels of pollutants such as fouling can have a significant negative impact on system efficiency.
During the course of a run cycle, a heat exchanger’s performance will degrade from clean to fouled conditions. The speed of which this will occur is dependent on the application and the vigilance of the field engineers.
